Adrianne Steiner is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Michigan. She received her Master of Arts degree in counseling from Oakland University and her Certified Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor (CAADC) certification. Adrianne is a member of the National Board for Certified Counselor (NBCC) and the Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP).
Along with her degrees and addiction certification Adrianne has had extensive training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing
Prior to pursuing her career Adrianne raised four boys. She volunteered in helping others while at Turning Point, Sand Castles, Project Focus, STEP parenting workshop and All Worthy of Love organization.
Adrianne has worked in various types of mental health practices including group homes, community mental health agencies and outpatient settings. She has experience with drug court documentation, probation officers’ reports and driver’s license renewals.
Adrianne finds it engaging and rewarding to help people find happiness and contentment. The ideal client is one who is motivated for a personal change and desiring healthier relationships with others. She believes happiness is based in developing a kind character and connecting with others. In order to develop kinder characters and healthier attachment one must be willing to question their own thoughts, actions and beliefs.
Adrianne has experience working with adolescents, adults, couples and families. She has worked with a variety of concerns and loves to challenge individuals to question their actions, thoughts along with the resulting outcomes.
