Samantha Coyne is certified as a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Michigan. She was awarded her Bachelor’s and Master of Social Work degrees from Wayne State University. Samantha began her social work journey in 2012 working as a mentor with young girls in the heart of Detroit.
Samantha’s experience includes working in case management with developmentally disabled, special-needs, and behaviorally challenged children as a school social worker as well as in community mental health. Samantha enjoys working with an array of clients ranging anywhere from young children to adults. Samantha also works with families and couples, implementing techniques from The Gottman Institute. Samantha’s other treatment modalities include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Family Therapy, Play Therapy, Crisis-Intervention, Grief Counseling and Life Coaching. Samantha works with most mental health disorders however specializes in mood, anxiety and behavioral disorders. Samantha is certified in providing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy.
