She has an integrative approach to the counseling process with comfortability of implementing different treatment options that are unique to her patient(s) while holding the belief that having respect and an understanding of the challenges that each person has encountered is essential to creating and maintaining a safe and trusted environment. Therapy may cause many emotions to arise, and it can become uncomfortable, but her goal is to help her patients reach their full potential while challenging their negative thoughts and beliefs that they are encountering. Her therapeutic orientation involves working collaboratively with her patients to meet their needs by utilizing skills from person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, rational emotive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and existential therapy. As your clinician, she believes that you have the solution to your dilemmas all within yourself and she is here to help highlight your strengths while providing support, encouragement, and acceptance.
She enjoys working with a variety of clients, especially those struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem/body image issues, eating disorders, substance use, relationship issues, trauma, and grief-and-loss. She strives to make this counseling journey safe, fun, supportive, and positive for you.
