Karli Iceman, Ph.D

Karli Iceman received her bachelors’ degrees in English, History, and Psychology in 2016 from Oakland University and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University in 2018. She has also completed her doctorate degree at Oakland University in Counselor Education. Prior to counseling, Karli pursued a career path in secondary education where she worked with middle school and high school students with college preparatory courses. From this experience, she became passionate in talking to her students about their concerns in order to help them succeed, both academically and personally. Karli is a certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Karli has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with concerns regarding depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationships, self-esteem and self-acceptance issues, and grief/loss. Knowing that we all experience challenges and struggles, Karli strives to create a safe, comfortable, trusting, and accepting space for individuals to share their stories. She believes that everyone is unique and deserves to be heard and treated with respect, kindness, and with an open heart. Using a strong relationship as her foundation, Karli tailors her approaches in order to meet individual’s unique needs.
Karli believes that counseling is a place for support, growth, and having space for you to truly be yourself. During the good moments and the challenging times, Karli will be by your side. Karli is excited to work with you and to be a part of your journey!
