Kent is certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He received his Master of Arts in Counseling from Moody Theological Seminary. Prior to entering the mental health field, Kent worked with couples who struggled in their marriage relationship.
Since entering the mental health field, Kent has experience with grief/loss counseling, marriage counseling, divorce and stepfamily-related issues, depression, anxiety, anger management, pornography struggles, and life transitions. Kent also sees adults with divorced parents to help them work through the triggers, anger, fears, unforgiveness, father hunger, and other issues that can weaken relationships, self-image, and an individual’s spiritual foundation.
Though he favors cognitive-based approaches, Kent’s strong listening and empathetic skills enable him to employ the appropriate therapeutic technique for each client. Kent is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families achieve their goals by allowing them to give voice to their concerns and struggles in a safe and welcoming environment.
