Phil Krysinski

Phil is a Limited Licensed Counselor (LLC) and obtained a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University. Phil is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA). Phil obtained his Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Michigan – Flint in 2019, with a minor in Substance Use Treatment and Intervention.
Phil’s experience began working as a volunteer with a local crisis and support center providing telephone and text/chat support. While in graduate school, Phil was awarded a scholarship supporting work with those suffering from substance use disorder. During his counseling internship, Phil was graciously selected to be the first male intern working to counsel survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking within a shelter program located within Macomb County, MI.
Phil works to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to counseling, with a core emphasis on unconditional positive regard, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and existentialism. Phil’s goal is to provide a welcoming and supportive environment, to help clients empower themselves and to work through the challenges they are experiencing.
Prior to work in counseling, Phil held various long-term positions within Information Technology.
