    Graduate Clinical Intern

    Tyler is a counselor-in-training currently earning his masters degree at Oakland University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in psychology. Tyler has worked as a crisis center worker on the national suicide hotline helping those with suicidal and homicidal ideation as well as facilitating skills with counseling those needing mental health services. Tyler also has previous work history as intervention specialist at a local homeless shelter for 12-17 youth teaching life skills and moving through interpersonal activities with the clients.

    Tyler is available to work with a variety of clients as he believes meeting individuals where they are at is a top priority in the field. Tyler strives to provide the most open and inclusive care from drawing from multiple approaches. Leaning towards Person-Centered and CBT techniques Tyler’s approach conveys an open and safe environment to get the most out of walking through the unique therapeutic journey with the client.
