Courtney Keeler
MA, LPC
Courtney has completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University. She received her Bachelor of Sciences in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. Courtney found her passion for this field in 2015 where she worked as a psychometrician at a mental health practice. She felt a natural calmness with clients as she helped them through the process of testing and assessments.
Courtney strongly believes in meeting clients where they are in their journey while also providing a space that is comfortable, safe, and non-judgmental where clients can fully express themselves in a constructive way that creates progress in the cycle of change. She views each client as a unique individual that deserves to be heard in their own way. Courtney feels her role as a counselor is to help clients find solutions within themselves to grow.
Courtney works with a Person-Centered style approach, but also utilizes other approaches such as Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Emotionally Focused, and Mindfulness. She believes that no one approach works for all clients and will personalize her style to what works best with each and every client. She enjoys working with, but is not limited to, clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief/loss, relationship challenges, self-esteem issues, and life transitions.
Courtney is passionate about being the best counselor she can be and takes every session as a learning experience for both her and the client. She is eager to work with you and feels honored to part of your journey to becoming the best you!
