Lena received both her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University. Lena has experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults. Prior to counseling, Lena worked in pediatric rehabilitation services helping individuals with a wide range of cognitive and physical disabilities. Lena feels this position has led her to become a passionate individual who takes a great deal of care with those who are faced with everyday struggles.
Lena believes that her clients are the ultimate experts to their own life. She seeks to work alongside you to help guide and navigate you through life’s challenges. Lena values creating a strong therapeutic relationship with all her clients to help them achieve a deeper level of insight, self-awareness, and empowerment.
Lena is passionate about working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, disordered eating and body-image related issues, and self-harm behaviors. Lena incorporates a variety of counseling techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered, and Narrative Therapy. Lena is dedicated to providing a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental environment to support you on your journey towards growth and healing.
