Evie Edwards

Graduate Clinical Intern

Evie is a counseling intern pursuing her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Oakland University, where she also received her Bachelor’s in Psychology. Evie has years of experience working with children and adolescents, as well as their families, to support their developmental and emotional growth. More recently, Evie has had experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults in therapeutic outpatient settings and finds this work to be incredibly rewarding.

When working with clients, Evie takes an integrative approach, primarily focusing on person-centered and collaborative care. Evie strongly believes in developing a foundation of safety, security, and trust with all her clients before anything else. Evie also utilizes a variety of evidence-based practices to meet the unique needs of each client. Some of these practices include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy. Additionally, Evie uses Art and Play therapy when working with children and adolescents.

Evie has a particular interest in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and family/relationship issues. No matter who you are or where you are on your journey, Evie would be honored to walk alongside you.
